OVERVIEW
The 2016 Aventador SV is what happens when Lamborghini takes its flagship V12 to new extremeslouder lighter and far more aggressive than the base Aventador. "SV" stands for SuperVeloce and this version lives up to that name by stripping weight adding power and sharpening every aspect of the driving experience. Power comes from a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 740 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque. Paired with Lamborghini's ISR automated manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system the Aventador SV launches from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed over 217 mph. The engine is the star of the showrevving toward an 8400-rpm redline with a ferocious mechanical scream. The SV's performance comes from more than just a power increase. Lamborghini reduced weight by over 100 pounds using carbon fiber throughout the body and interior while also revising the suspension steering and aerodynamics. A massive fixed rear wing aggressive front splitter and large rear diffuser dramatically increase downforce improving high-speed stability and cornering grip. Visually the SV is unmistakable. It takes the already dramatic Aventador design and pushes it further with sharper lines larger air intakes and exposed carbon fiber elements. And of course it features Lamborghini's signature scissor doors adding to the sense of occasion every time you step in or out. Inside the cabin reflects its lightweight performance-first focus. Carbon fiber is used extensively throughout the interior with Alcantara replacing traditional luxury materials to save weight. The Lamborghini Aventador SV is one of the last truly raw V12 supercarsnaturally aspirated mechanically intense and unapologetically Italian. It sacrifices creature comforts in favor of emotion to deliver an experience that's loud aggressive and unforgettable.
